Ok, i’m putting two parts of a comic behind a break that states an Opinion. There are obviously parts I agree with or I wouldn’t be posting it and would ignore it existed, like most people would.

It covers a lot of things that is obvious about the fandom, things that have been on all our minds recently when it comes to it and just plain telling it like it is. I try to keep a mostly child friendly site, (derpysquad really runs the show when it comes to the main page though, yell at him) but we know we can’t control the comments and a lot of the things we want to share just weren’t made with the thought that a kid may see it. In fact, I’ll be honest, I try to keep swearing down in the posts, but things on sites I link I don’t even think about. Other than tagging it as NSFW when it comes to saucy images.

My biggest point is the porn thing, Tumblr is all about the porn artists and them sharing and egging each other on in a giant circlejerk and when anyone points it out or asks to stop, (granted, no one asks politely they all just call them every name in the book) the artists get all pissed off tells them to suck it and makes even more out of spite while a couple thousand of their subscribers -and growing cheers them on for “standing up for their right” and being able to “express themselves” through art. It’s a load of malarkey to me, as you can tell.

I’ve given up my fight against the porn almost a year ago, there’s no winning that battle. There are people out there who believe Rule 34 is a sacred rule that shall not be broken when I was around in 2006 when they made up those damn rules on /b/. Never meant to be followed, always meant to be pointed out like “ahaahaha just as planned” because the internet has been that predictable since that time.

Anyways, I know the porn subject is an instant shitstorm button so please keep that discussion civil, i don’t want to have to moderate it but I will step in and crack skulls if it gets stupid.

And for the big reason this comic was made, we do need to remember our places in all aspects. We aren’t all male we aren’t all college kids, in fact i bet at least 30% of the fanbase is under 18. I’ve shown my brothers in middle school the show and they love it so I know this situation all too well. I don’t want to have to keep defending you guys as the “normal ones” when people raise an eyebrow when they ask what I do.

This has been an Opinion post by plaster and stands as one, not fact. If you disagree, that’s cool, you are entitled your own opinion. I just have an audience to tell it to and these articles are pretty popular in the first place. Thank you for your time, comics behind the break.
